The Town of Georgina is unveiling a designated tourism brand — Explore Georgina — supported by a visitor website, exploregeorgina.ca, and dedicated social media channels – Facebook and Instagram. These tools showcase the community’s natural beauty, cultural assets, local charm and vibrant events, while driving increased visitation and supporting the Town’s growing tourism economy.
Update - July 30, 2025 - The heat warning has ended for Georgina and Northern York Region. Residents are still reminded to check on friends and family, take precautions, and stay safe in the extended heat.
The Town is developing the 2026 budget and needs your feedback. Georgina passes a budget every year to determine how funds will be invested into the community. Tax dollars go towards a variety of programs and services that families rely on every day – from road work and water and wastewater improvements to snow clearing and recreation programs.

The Town of Georgina has received a grant from the federal Green and Inclusive Community Buildings (GICB) program for improvements to the Georgina Sutton Arena to make it more energy efficient and accessible. The contribution is for up to $1,118,412 or up to 80 per cent of the total eligible project costs.
