The new seasonal multi-use pathway (MUP) on Lake Drive officially opens on Thursday, June 26 at 7 a.m. The MUP is between Civic Centre Road and South Drive. Pedestrians and cyclists will use the lakeside lane while the other lane is a one-way eastbound vehicular lane.

GEORGINA — The Ontario government is investing $487,250.00 to protect jobs and upgrade the Georgina Ice Palace in Keswick. This investment is part of the province’s $200 million Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund (CSRIF), a provincewide initiative that helps communities revitalize local facilities, grow the economy and promote active, healthy living across Ontario.
Newmarket, ON – June 20, 2025 – Southlake Health is expanding its Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation Program in Georgina to bring leading edge cardiac care, closer to home for patients in the community. The program will operate at the Multi-use Recreational Complex (MURC) supporting patients’ recovery and long-term heart health for up to six months following a cardiac event.

The Northern York South Simcoe Ontario Health Team, in partnership with the Town of Georgina, is offering a Health and Wellness Education Series for the community.
The series includes 10 in-person sessions, four virtual sessions and two special engagement events. One event will focus on Indigenous engagement, while the other is dedicated to the Pefferlaw community.
Topics will include aging, mental health, caregiver support, chronic disease and more, aiming to provide accessible and relevant information to all residents.
