Taunya Zabielski holds the position of Public Educator/Fire Prevention Inspector for the Town of Georgina.

After graduating from the Law Enforcement program at Seneca College, Taunya began her career as a Municipal Law Enforcement Officer for the Town of Georgina in May 1992.

While working for the Town, Taunya began volunteering her time to the Georgina Fire Department. She was involved in different public education programs and presentations such as Fire Prevention Week, and Junior Fire Fighters. At which time, she decided to pursue a career in Fire Prevention and enrolled in the Fire Safety program at Seneca College.

Taunya was hired in November 2002, as the new Public Educator/Fire Prevention Inspector with the Town of Georgina.

Reporting to the Fire Prevention Officer, Taunya is responsible for promoting and presenting public education throughout the Town of Georgina and conducting inspections
