The Stephen Leacock Theatre Information
The Theatre was named for one of Georgina's most famous citizens, the legendary Stephen Leacock. His home-spun stories about small-town Ontario endeared him to readers throughout the world.The campaign to build the Georgina Cultural Centre was spear-headed by the late "Whipper" Billy Watson, who was also a life-long resident of the Town. This beautiful building, located at 130 Gwendolyn Drive in Keswick, houses both the theatre and Georgina Club 55.
The Leacock Theatre is home to the Queensville Players and South Shore Little Theatre.
The Town of Georgina Leisure Services Department also produces shows and events at the Theatre. Always a good bargain and a great entertainment outing.
