White Goods Day

Please call Turtle Island Recycling @ 1-866-421.5625 to arrange for pickup. Please affix a garbage tag on each item (maximum 5 per month).

Pitch-In Week
April 19-25, 2010: This coincides with Earth Day, which is April 22. Everyone is encouraged to participate by calling the Department of Engineering and Public works and registering yourself or group or class. Volunteers choose which area (roadside, school yard, church, ravine, retention pond, etc.) that they wish to clean up and then let us know what date you will be completing the task. Swap and Sell
This popular annual event is held every spring in the parking lot of the Georgina Ice Palace on Woodbine Avenue. The purpose is to promote reuse (one of the three r's) within Georgina. This year's date will be on Saturday May 15, 2010. Call after May 1 to register a spot. Rain or shine. Only 80 spots available. No commercial vendors please. So mark your calendar. The event runs from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
