Blue Box Information

As of Sept 17, our waste and recycling program has expanded. See the chart below to find out what can go in the blue box now in addition to the items that are already collected. Ensure that your blue box is at the curb no later than 7 a.m. the day of collection or after 8 p.m. the night before your collection.

Blue Boxes are available at the following locations at a cost of $7.00 for a small size (16 gallon) or $9.00 for a large size (22 gallon). These prices will be in effect to December 31, 2010.
No Plastic Bags. Recyclables cannot be collected if they are placed in a plastic bag or if plastic bags are in your box. The processing plant your recyclables go to does not have the ability to remove the bags. The plastic bags then jam the sorting machines. Please ensure that materials are placed in a Blue Box and all plastic bags are removed before placing your box out to the curb.
