Phil Craig is serving his first term as a Member of Council having been elected in 2010. Phil, his wife Pauline and their four children have lived in Georgina
since 1995. Prior to that, they lived in Edinburgh, Scotland, where Phil was the founder of two successful businesses, including Mamma's Pizza, voted best
Pizzeria in the UK in 1995. Phil is a former volunteer and Chair of his children's School Council, W.J. Watson Public School, and has been for many years
an ardent advocate for education reform in Georgina. He has also worked as a professional actor since 1975.
Phil is the co-founder and Curator of the Georgina Military Museum and the recipient of a Town of Georgina "Special Recognition Award" and an Ontario Heritage Trust Award. Currently, he serves as a member of the Town of Georgina's Economic Development Committee, Georgina Community Health Care Committee, Georgina Heritage Committee, Thane Smelter Committee and is one of the two Town representatives on the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority.
