Town of Georgina
Communities in Bloom Advisory Committee
Composition
CiB Advisory Committee shall be comprised of five to nine persons who are residents of or own property in the Town of Georgina plus one member of the Leisure Services Department.
Purpose
To investigate the Communities in Bloom (CiB) program and make recommendations to Council
Objectives
- Determine the benefits and disadvantages, if any, to the community associated with Georgina's participation in CiB
- Make a recommendation with supporting information to Council in favour of or against Georgina's participation in CiB.
- If the Committee's recommendation is in favour of participation, provide the following detailed information:
- Proposed CiB Committee Composition
- An outline of the proposed organizational structure (ie. sub committees responsible for each judging criteria reporting to an executive committee.)
- Proposed strategy or action plan with critical path.
- A list of proposed focus areas/events/issues and potential community partners as they relate to the judging criteria.
- A proposed budget.
Timing
Recommendations due to Council by October 15, 2003.
Acceptance of the Report and/or recommendations by Council completes the mandate of the CiBAC.
